Identification Days

Skyline Elite Identification Days

All Skyline Elite Identification Days are free of charge to participants.

One Skyline Elite team will be formed in each age group U13 through U18/19, boys and girls.

All participation in the U14-U19 Skyline Elite Identification Days is by invitation only.

Candidates within Skyline Elite’s affiliated sister clubs (SOCA and Augusta United) will receive invitations directly from the Skyline Elite staff.  All players currently participating on a Skyline Elite, SOCA and Augusta United Travel team are continuously evaluated throughout the course of the year.  Player performance in games, practices and off-field team events is constantly observed and monitored.  Performance in Identification Days is a part of the evaluation and selection process.

Players from outside of the Skyline Elite affiliated clubs (SOCA and Augusta United), should submit a Candidate Identification Form in order to be considered for invitation.  References from other clubs and coaches within the greater Skyline region are encouraged and help staff identify possible candidates.  Skyline Elite seeks to be an option for all high achieving and motivated players within Central and Southwestern Virginia.

U13 is the entry level age group for Skyline Elite.  Therefor U13 Skyline Elite Identification Days are an open tryout.  All serious, capable, age-appropriate candidates are welcome to attend.  All U13 candidates must complete and submit a Candidate Identification Form .

There are no Skyline Elite U11 or U12 teams.  Players in those age groups (born 2010 and 2011) should plan to attend SOCA or Augusta United tryouts.

Current players from SOCA or Augusta United Travel teams who are evaluated for Skyline Elite teams and are not selected, should then participate in SOCA and AUSC Travel tryouts for consideration on those teams.   The Skyline Elite ID Days will take place separately from, and prior to, the SOCA and Augusta United Travel tryouts.

Skyline Elite evaluations often take place over multiple days.  Players are strongly encouraged to attend whenever invited.  Attendance at Identification days is by invitation only.

Player evaluations are done by Skyline Elite technical staff members and team coaches. During the tryout process, candidates will be assessed by multiple evaluators assuring a diversified and unbiased evaluation. Parent coaches are not used to evaluate their own children regardless of affiliation within the club.
