Skyline Elite Tryouts

*All Skyline Elite tryouts are free, and all age appropriate candidates are welcome.

Please pre-register! Players are expected to pre-register for the 2020/2021 Skyline Elite Tryouts via their online family account. Pre-registration is very important. Contact Sunny.Herold@socaspot.org if you require registration assistance.

2020 Tryout Update – Skyline Elite Tryouts have been postponed to new dates in July, due to current state health recommendations.  Please see the Skyline Elite Tryout Schedule page for up-to-date information.  Online Tryout Registrations are available in personal accounts.  Registering for tryouts will allow interested candidates to be informed directly as new information becomes available.

One Skyline Elite team will be formed in each age group U13 through U19, boys and girls.  Players who tryout for Skyline Elite and live in  either the SOCA or Augusta United region will be considered for the Premier and Classic programs in those clubs if they are not selected for a Skyline Elite team.   SOCA Travel team tryouts will occur concurrently with Skyline Elite tryouts, while Augusta United tryouts occur separately in the Augusta region.

Evaluators at tryouts are Skyline Elite staff members, team coaches or other qualified soccer experts as selected by the club. The club includes knowledgeable, experienced  and objective coaches to serve as evaluators during tryouts. During the tryout process, candidates will be assessed by multiple evaluators assuring a diversified and unbiased evaluation. Parent coaches are not used to evaluate their own children regardless of coaching level within the club.

Please see the schedule below and note that there are TWO Tryouts for specific groups while there is only one tryout for others.  All players are strongly encouraged to attend both tryouts where applicable, if possible! To be considered for a team a new candidate must attend at least one tryout.

    2020 Tryout Safety Guidelines

Online Tryout Registrations are available in personal accounts.  Registering for tryouts will allow interested candidates to be informed directly as new information becomes available.

Due to the prevailing public health concerns, tryouts in the summer of 2020 will operate differently than standard procedures.  All current SOCA Elite players have been offered the chance to renew for the next year of play.  These players are NOT to attend tryouts so as to minimize the number of candidates at these events and help meet recommended health standards.

Skyline Elite Tryouts will be focused on new players seeking to join these teams.  All new candidates, from within SOCA, Augusta United, or another club, should preregister for these tryouts via their personal family account on the website.  Outside players will need to create an account on this website.  Walk up on-site registration will be very limited at these tryouts.

Note: all U18/19 (2002, 2003) age group players should attend the tryout regardless of renewal status.  Multiple team rosters will need to be formed in this combined age group and player evaluation/comparison will be of greater importance.
