Augusta Fall and Spring Clinics

SOCA offers supplemental training programs for those players wishing to further develop their technical skills during the Fall and Spring seasons.

  • Advanced Training Program- Field Players

    ATP (Advanced Training Program) – Field Players

    Spring 2020 Information 

    Begins:  March 20, 2020
    Fridays, 5:00-6:00pm @ VSDB

    Dates: Begins March 20 and ends April 24. Make-up date May 1.

    Ages U7-U15 (players born 2005-2013)

    Registration Deadline: March 18

    Cost: $80 per player

    Mission: the Advanced Training Program provides additional, high level training for the young, eager, motivated player. Training focuses on improving individual ball skills and teaching the fundamentals of team play using an active, games oriented approach.  This program supplements team training.

    • Available to boys and girls, Recreational and Challenge players.
    • Six-week course.
    • Fall and Spring training offered.
    • Clinic setting using active, dynamic skill development activities including small-sided training games which apply the learned skills.
    • SOCA Staff Coaches lead players in a fun, interesting training and game environment.
    • Training groups are divided by age and ability to appropriately guide and challenge players.

    All registration is through your personal SOCA account.  Look for ATP programs in the “Available Programs” section for your player.

  • Advanced Training Program- Goalkeepers

    Spring 2020 Information 

    ATP Goalkeeper
    Begins:  March 2
    0, 2020
    Fridays, 5:00-6:00pm @ VSDB

    Dates: Begins March 20 and ends April 24. Make-up date May 1.

    Ages U7-U15 (players born 2005-2011)

    Registration Deadline: March 18

    Cost: $80 per player

    Mission: train goalkeepers in the specific fundamental skills of goalkeeping.
    Available to all players interested in improving goalkeeping skills.
    Six week course.
    Instruction in specific goalkeeping skills. Essential skills of catching, handling, shot-stopping, diving, air balls, positioning, footwork are taught.
    Instruction by Dwayne Schwartz, SOCA-Augusta Goalkeeping specialist.
    All registration is through your personal SOCA account. Look for ATP programs in the “Available Programs” section for your player.

  • Advanced Training and Development Program

    Eight week training program for U11-U14 Travel players only.  
    No additional registration or fee.  
    Spring 2020 sessions run from February 26-April 15, 5:00-6:30 pm.
    Ridgeview Park.

    All current U11-U14 Premier  Travel players are invited to participate in Wednesday training sessions at Ridgeview Park.  No player is required to attend but all are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to further develop their technical abilities.

    • ATDP sessions will focus on individual player technical skills and also provide exciting small-sided game opportunities.  The training activities and technically demanding games offer an essential development opportunity for players at a key phase of their growth and advancement.
    • The program allows the SOCA-Augusta coaching staff the opportunity to work with players from different age groups and levels within the Travel program.
    • Players are provided with a unique pool training opportunity within their age-group.
    • The technical training includes a speed-agility-quickness component as well.

    There is a separate Goalkeeper Training component for all Travel goalkeepers.  Training is provided on the dates listed above, as follows:
