Developing Players Through a Competitive Team Environment

Skyline Elite teams provide advanced player development in highly competitive training and game environments.  Teams are lead by accredited and experienced coaches, who help prepare players to not only compete at the highest levels of youth soccer but also be prepared to participate in the next levels of the game.

Boys and girls teams are formed at every age group from U13 through U18/19.

  • Team Commitment

All players and coaches on Skyline Elite teams are expected to attend and fully participate in all team events and activities.  All participants, including supporting families and club administrators are to be accountable for their commitment to the shared goals and efforts of the team.

Teams are formed annually in the late spring, begin training in late summer, and complete the year of play at the end of May. Players commit to participate for the entire year. There are no refunds after the registration deadline for the program. Players commit to participating for the full year at the time of registration. Exceptions are only made for medical reasons or family relocation.  Players are expected and required to attend all matches and events to remain in good standing with their respective teams.

  • League Play

Starting in the 2021-2022 soccer year, Skyline elite teams will compete in youth national platforms.

Girls teams will compete in the Mid-Atlantic Conference of the Girls Academy (GA).  Currently this conference includes clubs from Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Southern New Jersey.  The league schedule will feature home and away matches with each club in the conference spread over the course of both the fall and spring seasons.  Additionally, teams will compete in GA Regional and National Showcase events.

Skyline Elite Boys teams are members of the Mid-Atlantic Conference of the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL).  The conference is composed of 18 clubs from Virginia, Maryland, and North Carolina.  The league schedule matches each club versus one another over the course of the entire year (Fall and Spring).  Additionally, teams will compete in ECNL Regional and National Showcase events.

  • Additional Tournament Play

Both the GA and ECNL offer multiple regional and national showcase events over the course of the year.  In addition to these events Skyline Elite teams will consider participation in other regionally or nationally preeminent events.  Skyline Elite staff will consider participation on a team by team basis per year.

  • High School Soccer

Participation with U15 through U19 Skyline Elite teams and high school soccer teams is NOT mutually exclusive, nor should discourage players from playing high school soccer.

There will be some overlap with high school play in the spring season due to league play with clubs from states that feature fall high school play. Participation on Skyline Elite teams must take at least equal precedence with High School team participation.  Skyline Elite staff will work with local high school programs to mitigate conflicts as much as possible.
